Our team of consultants’ including psychiatrist, psychologist and clinical social workers provide clinical services to the children. TLK Program consultants carry out a variety of functions such as development of specialized programs, staff training clinical case management, group counseling and/or individual psychotherapy.

 Our Philosophy:

T.L.K believes that every child/youth requires a warm, compassionate and homely environment which can provide support and enhance the development of skills, aptitudes, positive attitudes and future potentials in all areas of life.

Our goals are:

1. To provide residential care within a structured supportive family-oriented environment in which the child/youth can be stabilized and encouraged to help his/herself through positive feedback.

2. To advocate for the needs of children and youth who are unable to live with their natural families.

3. To utilize the resources of the treatment support team that will offer support and direction with each child/youth and their individual case management plan.Mom_daughter_hug0202

4. To assist in developing strengths and build interests of the child/youth to enhance and stabilize their self esteem/image as a tool for the them to deal more effectively and productively with their issues and concerns.

5. To promote services to those in need and ensure equitable programming resulting in provisions of services that enhances continuity of cultural heritage.

6. To assist the children, where appropriate, to reintegrate back into their family of origin or a community setting, with changes resulting in improved functioning and pro-social skill development.

7. To assist the referring agency in determining appropriate alternative long term living arrangements (permanency planning) for those children not returning to their family of origin.

8. To formulate a plan of care and treatment for each child/youth admitted to T.L.K., taking into consideration their psychological, educational, social and physical needs. The ultimate goal of T.L.K. is to provide the opportunity for each child/youth to realize their optimal potential to become a productive and appropriate member of the society.
